~ Arbeiter Radfahrerbund Solidarität ~
This PUG (printed under glaze) stein belonged to Albert Schubert, a member of the socialist's bicycle club named "Solidarität" (solidarity). The worker's or socialist's movements started in Germany in the early to mid 1800's and were a prime moving force in the eventual unification of Germany in 1871. The unmarked stein was probably made by Dorfner Bros. ca. 1900.
