| ~ Hoch lebe die reitende Artillerie ~ | |
| This is a regimental (reservist) stein for a field artillery regiment with horse drawn cannons hence the "riding" as the cannoneers rode too. The owner, Reservist Waras, served in the Field Artillery Regiment #35 garrisoned at Deutsch-Eylau from 1902 to 1905. Note the cannon on the finial matches the unit as also seen on the side scenes. | |
| Hoch lebe die reitende Artillerie | Long live the riding (field) artillery. |
