Rain is what all farmers pray for which is the theme of this relief stein with farming scenes probably by Marzi & Remy marked "1839" ca. early 1900's. This verse is also an archaic idiomatic expression with meanings as diverse as "Hard work brings its own rewards." and "Do yourself a favor", but a more literal translation is presented here.
Sich Regen bringt Segen.	Surely rain brings abundance.
